In short

Cold laser — low-level laser therapy — uses a specific wavelength of light to target fat cells beneath the skin. Nothing is heated, suctioned or destroyed: the light prompts the cells to release their stored contents, which the body then processes through its own pathways. Sessions run 20 to 40 minutes, are felt as nothing at all, and need no downtime. A series is usual; the price is confirmed at your consult.

How it actually works

The mechanism, plainly.

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) uses light at a specific wavelength rather than heat. The device is placed over the treatment area and emits low-level laser energy through the skin to the fat layer beneath. Instead of destroying the cells, the light prompts them to release their stored contents, which the body clears through its natural pathways over the following weeks.

Because there is no heat, pressure or suction, the session is felt as nothing at all — most people describe it as relaxing, and it suits people who are sensitive to heat-based systems. It is gentle circumference work over a series, not muscle or skin work, which is why the practice pairs it with EvolveX packages rather than offering it instead of them.

Candidacy

Who it is for — and who it isn't.

This is for you if

  • You prefer a gentle, non-invasive treatment with nothing felt.
  • You want help with small or moderate fat pockets.
  • You are close to your target weight.
  • You want a method that fits easily into your routine, or you are sensitive to heat-based systems.

This isn't for you if

  • You want muscle definition or skin tightening. Light does not do either — that is EvolveX.
  • Your main complaint is loose skin. Surface treatments will not reach it; see minimally invasive.
  • You have significant weight still to lose. Medically managed weight loss first; the target moves otherwise.
  • You want a single-visit result. This works subtly, over a series.

Candidacy is a clinical decision made at the consult, under physician direction. The content on this site is for general information and does not constitute medical advice or establish a physician–patient relationship. Candidacy for any treatment is determined during an in-person consultation. Individual results vary.

Questions

About Cold laser.

Does cold laser hurt?

No. There is no heat, pressure or suction; the device is placed over the skin and emits low-level laser light. Many people describe the sensation as relaxing.

How many sessions will I need?

A series is usually recommended for the best result. At your consult your provider assesses your physique, discusses your goals and sets the number of sessions — then the 3D scan at 30, 60 and 90 days tells us whether it is working.

When will I see a change?

Results often appear gradually over several weeks as the body processes the released fat. It is subtle by design, which is why it is measured rather than eyeballed.

Is this the same as CoolSculpting?

No. CoolSculpting cools fat cells to destroy them. Cold laser does not destroy anything: the light prompts the cells to release their stored contents, which the body then clears. Different mechanism, and gentler.

Can I combine it with EvolveX?

Yes, and most people do — cold laser addresses fat subtly while EvolveX works on fat, muscle and skin. The current New Patient Offer pairs cold laser sessions with an EvolveX package at no charge; see offers.

What does it cost?

The per-session price is confirmed in writing at your consult and published on the pricing page as soon as the practice sets it. Cold laser sessions are currently included at no charge with the EvolveX New Patient Offer.

Who is not a candidate?

Anyone whose main complaint is loose skin or lack of muscle definition — light does neither — and anyone with a lot of weight still to lose, where weight loss comes first. Your provider reviews your history at the consult and tells you plainly whether cold laser fits your plan.

Is there any downtime?

None. You resume regular activities immediately after the session.

Nothing felt, nothing cut.
