Medical standards & safety

How the practice is run.

Deliberately plain. This page exists for the people who want to know how decisions are made before they trust us with theirs.

  • — Physician oversight Dr. Andrew Pugliese is the medical director and oversees every clinical protocol and all prescription therapy. Karen Heimbrecht, RN is the clinical director and runs clinical standards, training and treatment delivery. Treatment is performed under physician direction; nothing prescription-based happens without it.
  • — Written, versioned protocols Every treatment the practice offers is governed by a written clinical protocol that is versioned and reviewed rather than improvised. Your plan is written down before treatment begins, with the phase, the device settings envelope and the checkpoints.
  • — Measured outcomes Plans are measured, not estimated: a full 3D body scan at baseline and again at 30, 60 and 90 days. If something is not working, the protocol changes.
  • — Device selection and safety Platforms are selected on clinical evidence. Every device in the suite is FDA-cleared for its indication and operated by trained staff under the protocols above. Device-specific safety information is provided at your consult and before each treatment.
  • — Pharmacy sourcing Where a plan includes prescription support, it is prescribed under physician direction and dispensed by a licensed 503A or 503B compounding pharmacy. We do not describe compounded formulations as equivalent to any branded product.
  • — Regulatory compliance The practice maintains its Georgia Composite Medical Board compliance documentation, including its delegation and supervision arrangements. Detailed policies — adverse-event handling, complaints, and the full Notice of Privacy Practices — are being prepared for publication on this site.

What this page is not

It is not medical advice and it does not replace the conversation at your consult, where candidacy, risks and alternatives for your specific case are explained by the practitioner who will treat you.

Questions about how we work?

Ask them in the room. The consult is an hour with a practitioner, not a sales appointment.
